Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Serenade (“we”) collects when you use the Serenade app and website, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions: 702-827-7927.

What we collect

• Your account: your email address and, when provided, your name. You can register with email or sign in with Google or Apple (with Apple you can hide your email).
• What you write for a card or song: the recipient’s name and nickname, your relationship, the occasion, your story or memories, the message on the card and the name it’s from.
• Photos you choose to upload for a card’s cover. We only receive a photo if you add one.
• What we make for you: the lyrics, the recorded song, the card and its share link.
• Purchases: what you bought and when, and whether it was refunded. Card numbers are handled by Stripe on the web and by Apple in the iOS app; we never see or store them.
• Calendar (only if you connect it): see “Google Calendar” below.
• Basic usage events (for example that a card was opened or a song was played) and the drafts and settings the app keeps on your device so you can pick up where you left off.

How we use AI, and what we send to our AI provider

Serenade writes and records your song with ElevenLabs, our AI provider for lyrics and music. To do that we send ElevenLabs what you wrote for the song (names, relationship, occasion, story, message) and, when we time the lyrics to the recording, the song itself. Photos are not sent to ElevenLabs; a photo you upload is used only on your card. The app asks for your permission before the first song is written, and you can say no.

We use what you send only to make your song and card, to support you, and to keep the service safe. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• ElevenLabs (AI lyrics and music), as described above.
• Base44, the platform that hosts the app and stores its data.
• Stripe (payments on the web) and Apple with RevenueCat (in-app purchases on iOS), to take and verify payments.
• Google, only if you connect Google Calendar or sign in with Google.
• People you send a card to. Anyone with a card’s link can open that card and play its song. Links are unlisted and hidden from search engines, but please share them only with people you trust.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

Google Calendar

If you connect Google Calendar, we read your events to find birthdays and anniversaries for “Coming up”. We only add events to your calendar if you turn on “Birthdays in Google Calendar” in Settings. You can disconnect at any time in the app or in your Google account. Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep your cards, songs and settings until you delete them or your account. Settings → Delete account deletes your cards and songs, the people you made them for, your calendar connection and your settings; links you shared stop working. We keep records of purchases for tax and accounting, with your personal details removed. Uploaded files are queued for owner review and removal from storage. The app shows a pending status and a reference when final removal is not complete. Shared template artwork is preserved.

Your choices and rights

You can see and edit your cards in the app, turn notifications off, disconnect your calendar and delete your account. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to some uses; contact us at 702-827-7927 and we’ll help.

Children

Serenade is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and access is limited to what the service needs. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in safe.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
